Nirvana, About A Girl, Drain You

This post is about some of my favorite Nirvana tunes, Kurt would have been 44 last month.

I just read that the woman this song was written for, didn't even find out it was about her until she read it in a book after Kurt's passing! I think I like the acoustic MTV version best.



Meanwhile - I was 11 when this album came out, I definitely didn't grasp the full meaning of any of the tunes back then. The album version of this track has the most guitar overdubs then any other tune on the album. One clean track and five distorted tracks! Apparently Kurt had to be tricked into re-recording the overdubs. (There are also rumors whether or not this is about his girlfriend at the time too)
